Daniel grew up in Elkins Park, a town that borders Philadelphia. He attended college about three hours away at Pennsylvania State University, where he studied linguistics and Spanish. Before graduating in May 2016, Daniel had the chance to travel internationally (to places like Vietnam, Israel, and Cuba), as well as work with the international community in his college town. When he's not on the road, Daniel enjoys cooking, eating, writing, swimming, and hiking. This is Daniel's first time in Brazil and is adjusting nicely to Curitiba. He is excited to continue learning Portuguese and assist students improving their English at UFPR.
